Georgia Rule
If you’re in the mood for a light hearted, feel good movie Georgia Rule is probably a deceiving option. Starring the likes of Jane Fonda, Felicity Huffman and Lindsay Lohan it boasts a fine array of acting talent and Hollywood skill. A troubled, rebellious teen Rachael (Lindsay Lohan) lands herself into trouble, when she is sent by her mother (Felicity Huffman) to her Grandmothers (Jane Fonda) as a final resort. Set in the small and quiet town of Idaho Rachael makes a number of lasting and unique impressions, which punctuate the movie with a variety of entertaining and humorous moments. Addressing situations of death, alcoholism, molestation and family confrontation, Georgia Rule prominently breaks away from the typical Brady Bunch Feel good mould. Although, surprisingly confronting at times the all star cast find a way to deal with it in a comical and often off beat manner, which gives insight into the dysfunctional family everyone can find something to relate to. All in all a pretty good movie, even for the likes of Lindsay Lohan.
